WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — Governor Tony Evers delivers his budget address Wednesday.
The address to a joint session of the legislature kicks off process of putting together a two-year budget.
The spending plan from the Democratic governor will go to the legislature’s Joint Finance Committee.
That panel of 12 Republicans and 4 Democrats will spend several weeks producing a final budget.
That then goes back to the governor, who can sign it, veto it, or use his partial veto to make changes.
In addition to delivering the speech live in the Assembly Chambers, the governor’s speech will be live streamed on his YouTube channel and Facebook page.
