WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — Republican lawmakers have dropped a proposed flat rate income tax.
Now, Governor Tony Evers says his proposed 10% tax cut has a better chance.
“They’re gonna want to probably make some changes but I think something similar to what we had in the first budget I had I think is probably where we’re gonna end up.” said Evers.
The proposed cut would be for people earning less than $100 thousand or couples earning less than $150 thousand. Any such measure must pass the legislature’s budget process.
