BONDUEL, WI (WSAU) – A 63-year-old Brown County man was killed while walking along Highway 29 on Monday in the Town of Heartland
According to the Shawano County Sheriff’s Office, the pedestrian was walking along the eastbound lanes of the highway. The semi-driver told police that the man lunged out in front of his vehicle while he was driving. The man died at the scene.
The crash happened at about 8:40 PM, closing the highway for about five hours.
The Wisconsin State Patrol, Bonduel EMS, Bonduel Fire Department, Shawano County Highway Department, and the Shawano County Coroner’s Office all responded. The man’s name has not been released.
The driver of the semi was not injured in the incident.
