WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Marathon County has a new Director of Solid Waste.
Administrator Lance Leonhard announced that David Hagenbucher has accepted the position, beginning March 19th. He’s been with the department since 2010 when he joined the team as an environmental technician. He was later promoted to operations manager and has been serving as Interim Director since January.
Hagenbucher takes over from Meleesa Johnson, who recently retired.
“Dave has been an incredible asset to Marathon County and our Solid Waste Department. He has been an integral part of the team working on the renewable natural gas conversion project and has more than demonstrated his ability to effectively lead the Solid Waste Department and navigate the complex challenges we often face,” said Administrator Leonhard in a press release. “I look forward to Dave’s accomplishments and contributions to our organization in his new role.”
