Green Bay Packers General Manager has dipped his toes into the NFL Free Agent waters by signing a pair of veteran players Friday.
Safety Tarvarius Moore arrives after spending his fist three seasons with the San Francisco 49ers. He was a third round pick out of Southern Mississippi in 2018 and has appeared in 61 games in his career with 13 starts. The 6-1, 200 safety is expected to challenge for playing time immediately with the expected departure of veteran incumbent Adrian Amos.
The Packers have also added another long snapper. Matt Orzech is a well traveled, 4th year pro out of Azusa Pacific University. The 6-3, 245 pound specialist was originally signed by Baltimore as an undrafted rookie in 2019. After getting waived, he signed on with Jacksonville and played all 16 games with the Jaguars. He spent the 2020 season on practice squads in Miami and Tennessee before getting released. He hooked on with the Los Angeles Rams and played in 34 games over the past two years. Orzech will compete with last year’s long snapper Jack Coco.
