WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — A damp winter could lead to some flooding this spring.
National Weather Service meteorologist, Mike Cellitti, says Wisconsin saw one of the wettest winters on record; and that moisture isn’t going away any time soon.
“We’re going to have a lot of saturated soils, as the snow melts and the ground thaws.” said Cellitti. “Rivers are going to be running high with fast flows.”
Cellitti says the moisture is a good contrast to several dry winters we’ve seen.
