WESTON, WI (WSAU) — Village leaders in Weston have approved a liquor license for a new Mexican restaurant.
Last week leaders approved a Class B beer and liquor license for SBG Taco Weston LLC, which plans to open a Fuzzy’s Taco Shop at the site of the former Wendy’s on Schofield Avenue.
The license will activate on July 1st and runs through the end of June 2024. At that time, it will be subject to annual approval with the rest of the Village’s licenses.
Plans for the establishment remain in process, as the Village Planning Office has not approved the site plans and other documents. Planning and Development Director Jennifer Higgins says no opening date has been set.
Fuzzy’s Taco Shop began in Fort Worth, Texas in 2003 and has expanded to 18 states and more than 150 locations. Their closest locations are in the Twin Cities and Iowa City, IA. The Wausau location would be their first in the Badger State.
Their menu features tacos, nachos, burritos, and other Mexican dishes.
