MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Wisconsin’s Assembly Speaker says he’s spinning-off the funding for American Family Field to put Democrats on the spot.
Robin Vos says he wants a stand-alone vote on the money for the Brewers’ ballpark .
“Putting something in the budget will mean every single Democrat will probably vote no. And as you know, Democrats represent most of Milwaukee County, so we’re not going to allow a process where Democrats get the benefit of having AmFam field continue, but don’t have any of the ability to put together the coalition to make it happen.” said Vos.
Vos says Milwaukee cannot lose the Brewers, or he says Major League Baseball will never come back to the state.
