MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — UW System students will have more paid internship opportunities.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development announced $1.1 million in grants for the system through the Wisconsin Fast Forward Program.
The funds are designed to grow internship opportunities by Wisconsin employers in high-demand fields such as cybersecurity, agriculture, green energy and clean water. Milwaukee, River Falls and Stout are UW schools expected to directly implement the programs for over 120 students.
