APPLETON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — No Mow May is not going away, despite a Lawrence University researcher’s retraction of his original study which supported it.
Wausau Mayor Katie Rosenberg says there’s still plenty of interest.
“I actually had somebody approach me and it was more about not mowing later in the year. So you know we’ll see,” said Rosenberg. “There’s a lot of cities doing a lot of innovative things when it comes to sustainability and especially with these pollinators.”
Appleton, where No Mow May began, is among more than two dozen Wisconsin cities that are promoting the pollinator friendly effort.
