NASHVILLE, TN (WSAU) – In the documentary “What is a Woman?” produced by the well-known media outlet The Daily Wire last year, experts and participants from both sides of the current gender ideology discussion were questioned about the reasons and ways in which men and women differ.
Since being posted by The Daily Wire’s Twitter account on Thursday, the first day of Pride Month, the controversial 90-minute documentary, which stars Daily Wire host Matt Walsh has received more than 172 million views, making it one of the most popular documentaries of all time.
In contrast, the series finale of M.A.S.H received 50.1 million views and the final episode of HBO’s “Game of Thrones” debuted in 2019 with an estimated 19.3 million viewers.

Yesterday, the documentary officially surpassed blockbusters like “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” in the “Most Popular” category of Rotten Tomatoes’ “Best Movies at Home” list for June. The documentary also had a 96% audience approval rating before what appeared to be a barrage of LGBTQ activists took to the site and gave the film one-star reviews which caused the rating to drop slightly below 90%.
Twitter owner Elon Musk has even promoted the film to his more than 142 million followers saying, “Every parent should watch” when he retweeted The Daily Wire’s post.
‘Consenting adults should do whatever makes them happy, provided it does not harm others, but a child is not capable of consent, which is why we have laws protecting minors,’ Musk continued.
Despite the film becoming extremely popular, The Daily Wire has noted that none of the respected critics from The Atlantic, The Boston Globe, NPR, BuzzFeed News, Wall Street Journal, Entertainment Weekly, Variety, and many others, have given it a review.
Matt Walsh has been touted as one of the most popular opponents of the gender ideology that has been sweeping across North America over the last decade. Before the documentary, he wrote best-selling books such as “Johnny the Walrus” and “Church of Cowards: A Wake-Up Call to Complacent Christians”.
Recent boycotts of companies that have been caught pushing LGBTQ products for children have so far been effective. Since customers started to boycott the well-known store Target, their stock price has fallen by 14% to $131. As a result, Anheuser-Busch InBev has also lost a staggering $27 billion in market value. This is due to its star-crossed association with LGBTQ TikTok star Dylan Mulvaney.
