STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) – The U.S. Senior Open will begin tomorrow and tickets are still available for the event.
Tournament Director Mike James says that while the event is focused on golf, there will still be many things for the whole family to do saying, “This a big event and a lot is going on. We have what’s called Experience Wisconsin which is a really neat area where everyone can go into. There is also the potato growing association, the cranberry growing association, and Point Beer & Soda offering also offers samples.”
He also highlighted a hole-in-one simulation game and if someone hits a hole-in-one they could win a John Deere ATV.
Tickets are $25 during the week and will be $50 for the competative rounds. Kids who are seventeen or younger will also get into the event for free.
Madison’s own and hometown favorite Steve Stricker will begin play at 2:04 p.m. on Thursday and the 10th hole at 8:34 a.m. on Friday. Bradley Lanning, a native of Hortonville, will start his round on Thursday morning in the first group at 7 a.m. and end it at 12:30 p.m. on the 10th hole of the back nine.
