CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The Northern Wisconsin State Fair begins Wednesday in Chippewa Falls; featuring a new agriculture campus.
Fair executive director, Rusty Volk, says the goal of the new campus is to keep agriculture relevant to the public.
“And by having a facility where the public can easily come and safely see the animals, and safely see how and why they’re judged and directly judged, that’s going to help those agricultural businesses keeping them relevant so they can continue to grow and produce more food,” said Volk.
The new campus is the product of 14 years of work since Volk took over as fair director in 2008.
The Northern Wisconsin State Fair continues through Sunday.
