MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — With hot humid weather on tap the rest of this week in Wisconsin, take steps to keep yourself cool.
If possible, consider limiting outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day, from noon to about 3 p.m.
Make sure you’re dressed appropriately and that you’re staying adequately hydrated.
Lastly, be aware of symptoms of heat stroke. Should you experience things like headache, heavy sweating, cold and moist skin with chills or weak and rapid pulse, move to a cooler place, stop exercising, and cool down by dousing yourself with cold water and re-hydrating.
People experiencing heat exhaustion may need to seek medical attention.
