GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The President and CEO of the Green Bay Packers has been named in two lawsuits.
Mark Murphy is listed as a defendant in the legal action filed by two former Northwestern University football players Thursday.
ESPN reports the lawsuits outline hazing, sexual abuse, and racial discrimination that was allegedly known about and encouraged by then-Northwestern head football coach Pat Fitzgerald during Northwestern’s 2004 preseason training at the UW-Parkside campus in Kenosha.
Murphy was the school’s athletic director from 2003 to 2007.
Both lawsuits also name Fitzgerald, a former Northwestern president, and the university’s board of trustees as defendants.
