MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Wisconsin congressman Glenn Grothman attended this week’s Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee – and had a couple of disappointing moments.
“Ramaswamy, when he said everybody else on the stage was bought and paid for, words to that effect, that’s obviously ridiculous. As for DeSantis, I went there kind of hoping for the best and I think he did win the debate,” said Grothman. “I think when he equivocated on whether or not Mike Pence should have approved the electoral college results, I thought it didn’t look very presidential. He should’ve just said yes, Mike Pence did the right thing.”
The 6th District Republican said former President Trump’s decision to skip the debate at Fiserv Forum was a mistake – allowing the other candidates to highlight themselves.
