MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The chief clerk for the Wisconsin state Senate is on administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
A spokesman for Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu said he could not discuss the status of Michael Queensland.
WPR reported that Queensland had his badge access to state buildings, including the Capitol, removed last month.
The chief clerk is a nonpartisan office which oversees Senate administration and record-keeping and serves as the chamber’s parliamentarian and chief operating officer.
Queensland has held the post since being elected by the Senate in January 2021.
