GERMANTOWN, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — There are few details in a fatal shooting by police at a school on Monday.
The Wisconsin Department of Justice declined Tuesday to release the name, gender or age of the person fatally shot at Kennedy Middle School in Germantown.
About 70 students were inside the school, which went into lockdown.
According to DOJ, officers responded about 6:30 Monday evening to a report of a person acting erratically in the parking lot.
The person climbed onto the school roof and fired at police. Three officers returned fire and killed the person. They are on administrative leave.
DOJ, which is leading the investigation, did not comment on the person’s behavior or why they came to the school.
