MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Keep News Eve safe if your plan to ring it in at your favorite tavern.
One way to do that is by using the Safe Ride program from the Tavern League of Wisconsin.
“Anybody who’s at a participating establishment, can just ask the bartender for a free safe ride home, and we’ll get you home, no questions asked,” said Scott Stenger with the Tavern League.
The program has been a success since its introduction nearly 20 years ago.
“You can find us on our app, which has a list of all the participating taverns and super clubs that utilize the Safe Ride program,” said Stenger. “Or if you’re in a bar and you decide you shouldn’t be driving, just ask that bartender and they’ll be able to take care of you.”
Safe Ride has more than 1700 participating establishments around Wisconsin.
