LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A La Crosse brewer looks to cash in on a controversy.
608 Brewing Company announced a Chancellor Joe Gow themed beer in a Monday Facebook post.
The reveal of the “Hot For Chancellor” brew comes less than two weeks after the Universities of Wisconsin Board of Regents voted unanimously to fire Gow after becoming aware of porn videos featuring the chancellor and his wife.
The beer is “a sour ale fruited with cherries, apricots, peaches and vanilla,” according to the craft brewer, and packs a walloping five percent alcohol by volume.
The can features a cartoon of Gow carrying a bowl of fruit and a strategically placed sign reading “censored.”
