MESA, AZ (WSAU)– The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the Chicago Cubs 6-5 on Tuesday night but a few of the Brewers look ready for Opening Day.
William Contreras had a three run homer and a RBI double. Starting pitcher Colin Rea went four scoreless innings with seven strikeouts.
The Cubs won the game on a walk-off homer for Patrick Wisdom.
Brice Turang was named Opening Day second baseman by Manager Pat Murphy.
The Brewers do remain concerned about closer Devin Williams who will see a back specialist today after feeling persistent discomfort in his lower back this spring.
