STEVENS POINT, WI (WSAU) — An 18-year-old Wausau man has been arrested after a deadly assault in Stevens Point, and two more individuals remain at large.
Donald G Mitchell was found beaten in a downtown parking lot on Friday night and immediately rushed to a Stevens Point hospital. He was airlifted to Wausau a few hours later due to the extent of his injuries.
Police identified four suspects on Tuesday including Christian Emerson, who is in custody and faces a count of reckless battery. Another individual, 20-year-old Brandon L Boehm, has turned himself in and could also face charges.
Two others- Arlin O. Sangster, 19; and Daemon Kitzrow, 19, are also wanted for questioning.
Emerson was arrested over the weekend and has since been released on a $50,000 cash bond. He’s due to make a court appearance on April 3rd.
A motive behind the beating has not been disclosed. Other agencies involved in the incident include the Wausau Police Department, Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force, and the Wisconsin DOJ.
