MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers will need to continue to re-tool their 2025 recruiting class after losing their second-top prospect over the last week.
According to Badger Blitz, four-star 2025 safety Cody Haddad has reopened his commitment status after committing to the Badgers earlier this year, saying, “I just want to let you know that I decommitted from Wisconsin. I want to take a step back and observe what every school has to offer.” Haddad’s decision comes only days after the Badgers also lost Wisconsin native and three-star pass rusher Torin Pettaway to Minnesota.
At six feet, one inch, and 180 pounds, Haddad chose the Wisconsin Badgers over Purdue, Cincinnati, Duke, Kansas, Massachusetts, and Nebraska. However, sources told the outlet that Haddad has received a scholarship offer from his hometown Ohio State Buckeyes, and it’s believed he’ll accept it.
Former USC coach and new Wisconsin defensive backs coach Alex Grinch still has four-star Jaimier Scott committed, and Jussiah Williams is slated to visit this week. Marcus Wimberly, a four-star recruit from Arkansas, will also make an official visit to Madison in June.
