MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Marquette Golden Eagles will be keeping one of their main stars for the 2024-2025 season as guard Kam Jones announced that he will be staying with the program.
According to a post on X, Jones kept his announcement short, saying, “Marquette Nation, I’m Staying Home. Sincerely, K1.” The Memphis, TN, native led the Golden Eagles in scoring in 2023, averaging 17.2 points per game and scoring at least 20 points in two of Marquette’s tournament games.
The Golden Eagles will look very different in 2024, with both Tyler Kolek and Oso Ighodaro leaving the program to go pro, but the team is expected to still be very competitive, with David Joplin and Jones returning to the starting lineup and four-star recruits Damarius Owens and Royce Parham joining the program this upcoming season.
