FOND Du LAC, WI (WSAU) — The woman accused of killing Cindy Schulz-Juedes in the cell they shared at the Taycheedah Correctional Facility has pled not guilty to one count of intentional homicide.
Taylor Sanchez entered the plea on Tuesday in a Fond Du Lac courtroom. She’s accused of beating Schulz-Juedes, causing numerous skull fractures. The 28-year-old says she beat her with her hands and feet, adding that she thought Schulz-Juedes was using her toothbrush to scrub the toilet.
Investigators add that Sanchez recently told her mother she was hearing voices telling her to kill Schulz-Juedes, and had recently stopped taking her medications.

Schulz-Juedes had just begun a life sentence for killing her husband, Ken Juedes, in 2006. While she was long suspected of the crime, charges weren’t filed against her until 2019. Court records show she was in the process of filing an appeal of her conviction.
Sanchez faces an automatic life sentence if found guilty, though the judge can consider the possibility of parole after 20 years. She returns to court on July 3rd for a status conference.
