WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office announced a pair of recent drug busts have taken more than 5.5 pounds of methamphetamine off the streets.
The Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force conducted two raids last week near Marshfield, netting 5.75 pounds of the drug along with one kilogram of cocaine and two guns.
More than $44,000 in cash was also taken.

The Central Wisconsin Narcotics Task Force includes representatives from the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Lincoln, Portage, and Marathon County Sheriff’s Office, and local police departments from Wausau and Mountain Bay Metro. The Wisconsin Army National Guard and Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigation are also involved.
