WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) – State of Affairs episode fifteen is now available, featuring UW Madison Law Student and Federalist Society President Samantha Crane joining the program to discuss life on campus as a Jewish student since the anti-Israel protests began in recent weeks.
While speaking about the effect the protests have had on her daily life as a Jewish student on campus, she said it hasn’t been easy, saying, “Being Jewish, obviously, this is something I’ve never seen experienced before on campus, but antisemitism is an age-old problem that has existed for a long time, but it’s never been so up close and up front for me until this year.”
Join us for the full conversation and follow the show on Spotify to find out what Crane has heard about possible suspensions for students who protest during the university’s upcoming graduation ceremony and what she thinks of the encampments continuing despite the state law violations and if she believes the encampments could last beyond graduation into this summer.
