MADISON, WI (WSAU) – The Wisconsin Badgers landed a key transfer on Friday afternoon that will help solidify their defensive line for several years.
According to a post on X from the university, former Stephen F. Austin defensive tackle Brandon Lane, who committed to Louisville earlier this week, has flipped away from the Cardinals and will now be joining the Badgers with three years of eligibility remaining. He was 247Sports’ second-ranked available defensive tackle in the transfer portal.
Lane, who stands at 6’3 and 300 LBS, had 45 tackles and 1.5 sacks while at Stephen F. Austin as a redshirt freshman. His commitment is the second defensive lineman transfer the Badgers have received this offseason after Albany’s Elijah Hills joined the program earlier this year.
