MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Gary Sanchez recorded two hits including a double but the Milwaukee Brewers fell to Boston 2-1 on Sunday.
Sanchez was the only Brewer to record multiple hits in the game. Milwaukee’s lone run came in the 5th inning on an RBI single from William Contreras, bringing home Oliver Dunn.
Tobias Meyers went 4.1 innings and allowed one run on six hits. Elvis Peguro took the loss, allowing one run on three hits in the 8th inning.
Despite the loss Milwaukee still won the three-game interleague set 2-1. They return home this week for seven games against both teams from Chicago, beginning with four against the Cubs. Game one of that series is Monday afternoon, with pregame coverage starting at 2:35 on WSAU.
