MOSINEE, WI (WSAU) — Interstate 39 South is back open near Mosinee after a crash early this morning.
The accident happened near the off-ramp to Highway 153 at about 1:45 AM, closing both southbound lanes. The scene was cleared at around 10:30 AM.
Detours were set up while crewes worked to clear the scene utilizing Maple Ridge Road, Old Highway 51, and Highway 153. The detour backed up traffic for nearly three miles, according to the State Patrol.
Details including how many vehicles were involved and if any injuries or fatalities occured have not been released.
