MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Willy Adames hit a three run homer in a five-run 8th inning as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago Cubs 5-1 on Monday afternoon at Ameridcan Family Field.
Jackson Chourio added two hits and an RBI in the win. Brewer starter Robert Gasser pitched sux innings of shutout ball with seven Ks and no walks. Bryan Hudson picked up the win tossing two shutout innings and lowering his ERA to 0.59.
Former Brewers manager Craig Counsell was roundly booed by the crowd after leaving Milwaukee to take the Cubs manager’s job after last season.
The Brewers, now 31-22, will face the Cubs again tonight…pre-game show at 6:05 on WSAU.
