TOWN OF EASTON, WI (WSAU) — Two people have died after what has been described as a double shooting incident in the Marathon County Town of Easton.
Officers were called to a rural home Tuesday morning for a well-being check on a person sitting in a vehicle overnight. According to the caller, the person had the door open and had been sitting in the same position that they were the night before.
Deputies found a man and a woman dead from gunshot wounds at the property.
Officers say evidence points to the incident stemming from domestic violence and there is no threat to the public. No further details, including the victim’s names, have been released.
