Wausau’s Parks and Recreation committee will officially discuss whether they should exist in their current form.
The topic has been thrown around off and on for years, but picked up steam last week when the council held a committee discussion on the issue. According to Monday’s agenda, the committee will discuss changing to an advisory committee, which would operate similarly to the city’s Airport committee.
The group would be able to make recommendations to standing city committees such as Finance or Public Health and Safety, but would not be able to send issues directly to the City Council.
Monday’s regular committee meeting begins at 5:15 PM at City Hall. Click here for the complete agenda.
