MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers stayed on Wednesday, knocking off the Toronto Blue Jays 5-4 behind a big-day from Christian Yelich.
Yelich finished the day by going three for four from the plate and scoring once while knocking in a run. He also got some help from shortstop Willy Adames, who blasted a key two-run home run in the bottom of the 6th inning to help the Brewers pull away late.
Tobias Myers got the win for Milwaukee after going six innings and striking out four while also only allowing one run, and the save went to Trevor Megill, who now has 11 saves on the year.
The Brewers will get Thursday off before welcoming the Cincinnati Reds to American Family Field on Friday, where ace Freddy Peralta will look to earn his fifth win of the year against former top prospect Hunter Greene, who will get the start for the Reds. The first pitch can be heard on WSAU at 7:10.
