GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The Green Bay Packers have released their updated injury report for week one as the team travels to Sao Paulo, Brazil, to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night.
According to the report, second-year tight end Tucker Kraft is working through a back injury, putting his status for week one unknown, while backup defensive end Arron Mosby will be inactive against the Eagles after not traveling with the team due to personal reasons.
During the preseason, Mosby contributed a pass breakup, a strip-sack, and an interception to earn a spot on the 53-man roster. With Mosby being out, second-year pass rusher Brenton Cox Jr. could get an opportunity to play as the fifth defensive end, but Rashan Gary, Preston Smith, Lukas Van Ness, and Kingsley Enagbare will probably get the majority of the edge-rushing opportunities against the Eagles.
If Kraft is unable to play on Friday, the Packers will need to turn to Ben Sims to play alongside Luke Musgrave since they are the only two other tight ends currently on the roster.
