WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-2 on Monday night at American Family Field.
Aaron Civale gave up one run in five innings of work to pick up the win. Colin Rea helped the beleagured Brewers bullpen with 2 2/3 scoreless innings for the save.
William Contreras had a two run double and Joey Ortiz a run scoring triple for the Brewers. Ortiz finished with two RBIs while Gary Sanchez and Brice Turang drove in the other runs.
With the win, the Brewers magic number to clinch the Central Division title drops to 2. They face the Phillies again tonight. Pregame show at 6:05 on WSAU.
