Sign for the 400 Block in Downtown Wausau
WAUSAU, WI (WSAU) — Visit Wausau will honor Central Wisconsin’s ginseng production with the first-ever Ginseng Celebration in the 400 Block on Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM.
It’ll be an immersive cultural experience with local chefs crafting ginseng recipes for sampling. Farm tours, traditional Chinese music and dance, and ginseng workshops will also be held.
“We are thrilled to bring the Ginseng Celebration to the heart of Wausau,” said Tim White, Executive Director of Visit Wausau, in a press release. “This event not only showcases our region’s ginseng heritage but also creates a platform for education, tourism, and community pride. Whether you are a local resident or visiting from afar, there is something for everyone to enjoy and learn about the incredible impact of ginseng. Plus it’s a great ending to the wonderful Welcoming Week festivities in the area.”
The celebration will feature local vendors, food trucks, live music, and family-friendly activities.
