GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s odds of playing on Sunday against the Titans continue to increase as he practiced for the second straight day on Thursday.
According to Packers.com reporter Wes Hodkiewicz, Love wore pads with the rest of the team as well as a sleeve and brace on his left knee throughout practice, just like on Wednesday.
While speaking to the media after practice on Wednesday, Love said he’s continuing to be patient, saying, “I’m going to take the week; just take it day by day; see how it feels. I’m not going to make any decision on that now; I’m hopeful that I can get in there, but we’re going to take it day by day and see.”
Love also said that his knee was “a lot better” despite just a week and a half of rehab when most sprained MCL injuries require at least two to four weeks of rest and physical therapy.
Backup quarterback Malik Willis, who started in place of Love against the Colts in Week Two, said Love may play but he needs to prepare as if he won’t, saying, “I wouldn’t be surprised. I just have to stay ready and focus on what I can control. The rest I will leave up to him (Love) and Coach LaFleur.”
Hodkiewicz also noted that both Elgton Jenkins and receiver Jayden Reed were back on the field for the Packers on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday.
