TOWN OF SPENCER, WI (WSAU) — The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim of Monday’s two-vehicle crash in the Town of Spencer.
Anthony Peplinski of Spencer died at the scene, according to investigators.
It’s unclear if the 27-year-old was a passenger or a driver in one of the vehicles.
No other injuries were reported. Details such as whether speed or alcohol factored in the incident also haven’t been released.
The incident occurred Monday morning near the intersection of Highway 13 and Merkel Road in the Town of Spencer. Investigators spent much of the day reconstructing the crash and investigating, detouring traffic off Highway 13 for nearly eight hours.
