MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — Three hits and three runs scored from Brice Turang helped the Brewers to an 8-4 win on Friday to open the final series of the regular season.
Turang’s stat line included an RBI double in the second and a pair of singles. Rhys Hoskins and Gary Sanchez homered, including a first-inning grand slam from Hoskins to put the Crew up 4-0 after one.
Jackson Chourio recorded one hit, an RBI single that the Mets challenged in the 4th. Replay review upheld the original call.
Frankie Montas went four innings in the start and allowed two hits and two earned runs. He did not factor in the decision. Joe Ross earned that in relief.
The same two teams will play again tonight. Game coverage will begin at 6:10 on WSAU as part of a Badgers-Brewers afternoon. We’ll start with Badger football against USC with pregame at 12:30 PM. We’ll leave the postgame show in time for the Brewer’s first pitch, meaning there will be limited pregame coverage.
