GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – Former President Donald Trump is returning to the Badger State with just days to go until election day.
According to an announcement from the campaign, Trump will deliver remarks at the Resch Center on Wednesday at 6 p.m., with doors scheduled to open at 2 p.m. to supporters who register for tickets.
The former president last campaigned in the city back in March, hosting thousands of supporters at the KI Convention Center. This marks his ninth visit to the area since he entered the political spotlight back in 2016. However, his visits in 20216 weren’t his first time in Green Bay, as he first visited in 2009 when he was named as the new owner of WWE’s “Monday Night RAW.”
His challenger, Vice President Kamala Harris, and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, have also been campaigning across the state in recent weeks, including multiple stops in Green Bay to tour historic Lambeau Field and to host a rally with supporters.
As it currently stands, Trump is ahead of Harris in recent polls conducted in Wisconsin, including the latest Emerson/RelClearWorld poll showing Trump ahead of the VP by one percentage point and the U.S. Senate race between Tammy Baldwin and Eric Hovde as tied. The latest Quinnipiac poll also found Trump ahead of Harris by less than a percentage point and Baldwin ahead of Hovde by one percentage point.
