FOND du LAC, WI (WSAU) – The woman accused of beating her cellmate to death last year has been ordered to undergo a mental competency exam after pleading ‘not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.’.
Taylor L. Sanchez is accused of beating Cindy Schulz-Jeudes to death in July, 2024. The two had been sharing a cell at the Taycheedah Correctional Institution.
Schulz-Jeudes, from Wausau, was convicted of killing her husband, Kenneth, in 2006. Schulz-Jeudes had maintained that she was innocent until her death. She died from multiple blows to the head.
