MEDFORD, WI (WSAU-WAOW) — A Medford trucking business will close by December 31st, leaving 64 people unemployed.
WAOW TV reports that J Bauer Trucking has submitted a layoff notice to the Department of Workforce Development to inform them of the cuts. Officials say six salaried workers and 58 employees paid hourly or by the mile will be cut.
None of the impacted employees have union rights, meaning they don’t have bumping or transfer privileges. Their last day of employment will be December 31st.
According to a copy of the notice the company has also informed the Town of Medford of the closure.
