GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) — The Detroit Lions built a 24 -3 lead and held off the Green Bay Packers 24-14 in the rain on Sunday at Lambeau Field.
Jordan Love, battling his injured groin, was 23-39 for 273 yards. He had no TD passes but did throw an ugly pick six just before halftime that let the Lions build their lead.
Emmanuel Wilson had the only Packer TD.
Jared Goff was 18-22 for 135 yards and a touchdown to Amon St. Brown. Brown had seven catches in the game. The Lions two pronged rushing attack of Davod Montgomery and Jaylen Gibbs combined for 136 yards on 28 carries. Gibbs scored a touchdown.
Kerby Joseph had the interception return for a touchdown.
The Lions are 7-1 and in first place in the NFC North. The Packers fall to 6-3 as they head into their bye. They will play at Chicago on November 17th.
