WASHINGTON D.C. (WSAU) – The race for the White House is underway, and both former President Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris remain in a close race across the country.
According to Decision Desk HQ, former President Trump is off to a fast start, securing wins in Florida, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana, Missouri, Arkansas, Ohio, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, Texas, Louisiana, the important swing state of North Carolina, Utah, Montana, and Iowa brining him to a total of 226 electoral votes so far.
Decision Desk HQ has also called Washington, D.C., Vermont, Rhode Island, Maryland, Massachusetts, Illinois, Virginia, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Colorado, and Delaware for Vice President Kamala Harris, with many more critical states yet to be decided.
As it currently stands, Trump and Harris remain in a close race in the state of Georgia, with 85% of the vote reporting and 91% of Fulton County reporting. Meanwhile, in the state of Pennsylvania 51% of the vote is reporting with both of the candidates in a tight race there as well.
