WAUPACA, WI (WSAU) — A Powerball ticket worth a half-million dollars was sold in Waupaca on Monday.
According to the Wisconsin Lottery, the winning ticket matched four of five white balls and the Powerball. That combination normally nets a $50,000 prize, but the player also purchased the Power Play prize multiplier.
Monday’s Power Play was 10x, meaning the ticket is now worth $500,000. The 10x multiplier is only in play when the Powerball jackpot is less than $150 million.
The ticket was sold at Kwik Trip on West Fulton Street. The winner has until May 3rd, 2025 to claim the prize, 180 days from the drawing.
