MERRILL, WI (WSAU) — A 20-year-old Wausau man held in the Lincoln County Jail was involved in a fight last Thursday.
Officers say John Dabroski was having a discussion with another 40-year-old Wausau man which turned heated and eventually became a full-on physical fight. Correctional officers said several punches were thrown before the two men could be separated.
Investigators were brought in but only the 40-year-old man chose to be interviewed. Dabroski, who was deemed the aggressor, elected not to speak. He is now facing four counts of felony bail jumping, battery, disorderly conduct, and strangulation.
Both Dabroski and the victim were inmates in the jail. No further details about what led to the confrontation were released.
Dabroski returns to court on December 3rd for an adjourned initial appearance. Court records show he is jailed on charges related to stealing a car and possession of methamphetamine filed in August. He pled not guilty to those charges in September.
He remains jailed on a cash bond.
