MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Bucks will be without one of their top scorers for the second straight game.
According to a post on X by the team, point guard Damian Lillard has been ruled out for Wednesday’s game against the Detroit Pistons as he continues to deal with concussion-related symptoms that he suffered during the team’s loss against the Celtics on Sunday.
Lillard’s status remains day-to-day and the team will announce later this week if he’ll be able to play against the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.
The Bucks are currently the 12th seed in the Eastern Conference, but a win against the Pistons on Wednesday could move Milwaukee as high as the ninth seed, which would revive the organization’s playoff expectations. The Pistons are currently the 7th seed in the Eastern Conference after defeating the Miami Heat on Tuesday night.
Pre-game from Fiserv Forum is set for 6:30 p.m. CST on WSAU.
