MERRILL, WI (WSAU-WAOW) – Lincoln County prosecutors have charged a Merrill woman with domestic battery for allegedly placing a firework under a toilet seat and injuring a man last Thursday.
According to a news release from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to an address on County Highway K just north of the City of Merrill.
Investigators said that a 27-year-old Merrill woman and a 45-year-old man were involved in a domestic disturbance. According to the sheriff’s report, the woman received a suggestion from another man to place an ‘exploding firework’ under the toilet seat before a 45-year-old Merrill man used the bathroom.
The police report said: When the man sat down on the toilet, the small firework -designed to go off when pressure was applied – exploded.
The man suffered minor injuries.
The woman is charged with domestic battery.
