GREEN BAY, WI (WSAU) – The hero of the Packers’ 20-19 win over the Chicago Bears on Sunday has been named to the NFC’s Player of the Week list.
According to a post on X from the Packers, defensive lineman Karl Brooks, who blocked the Bears’ 46-yard game-winning field goal attempt, has been named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Brooks is the first Packer to be named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week since kick and punt returner Keisean Nixon did it back in 2022. Brooks is the third Packer to be named to the NFC Player of the Week list this season, joining safety Xavier McKinney, who was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after Week 5, and inside linebacker Edgerrin Cooper, who was also named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after Week 8.
